What is Paleo F(x)? Just possibly the GREATEST, most inspiring weekend of the whole year. Imagine walking into a building where each person there has a goal to make this world a better place, and each of them has a different unique story that they are eager to share with you!
Going to Paleo F(x) felt a little bit like meeting your favorite characters at Disney World, except without the autograph book. Words don’t describe what its like to meet the people who started this movement. To name a few I met Mark Sisson (Mark’s Daily Apple), Dave Asprey (creator of Bulletproof coffee), Melissa and Dallas Hartwig (creators of the Whole30 program), and Nell Stephenson (The Paleoista, basically Loren Cordain’s spokesperson). These people have changed my life and the lives of thousands of others.
Besides meeting the head honchos, I met the other movers in this movement, the bloggers. These amazing bloggers gave me the courage to start a blog, build a following and make a difference. Two women I’ve admired for a long time are Juli Bauer from PaleOMG and Leslie Klenke, the writer of the Paleo Girl (a book I was featured in). PaleOMG allowed me to guest post on her site when I was first starting, and I was forever grateful for her support. Juli and Leslie are more amazing than I could imagine!
I spent a lot of time getting to know the other bloggers that have similar goals as me like Vanessa from Plaid and Paleo, Caroline Potter from Colorful Eats, Karen Sorenson from Holistically Engineered, and Lisa Bryan from Downshiftology. We enjoyed tons of Paleo foods and even a few cocktails. One night a few of us went to Rainey Street in Austin, which is a street of old houses that were made into bars. We went to one bar called the Container Bar (so cool!).
My favorite talk of the conference was by Diane Sanfalippo, the author of Practical Paleo. She spoke about turning a passion into a business! It was so great to actually meet her in person, and thank her for sharing about my food tent on her podcast Balanced Bites!
So enough names and links (Although I suggest you check out everything in this post). I am so grateful for the opportunity to go to such an amazing event. This movement has come so far in the past few years, and it’s only getting started. Paleo isn’t a dogma, religion, or a bunch of rules. It’s about curing and preventing disease and raising the bar on what healthy is. It’s about replacing standard processed foods with real, whole foods. It’s about abundance not deprivation. It’s a choice to be happier and healthier!

Monica,
We are so excited and so happy that you had such an incredible experience!!! We want each of our attendees to have equally incredible experiences! We also pray that each person who walks through the doors at Paleo f(x) will be inspired to not only change their life but at least the life of one, other. To change the world, one person at a time, is our vision!
